Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edward Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karr Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karr Mike! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big right from Penn misses. Penn dips to his left and cracks Mike with an uppercut! Mike with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Penn to score with a decent uppercut. Penn looks to score with a jab to the body but Mike is just out of range. Mike tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. No joy there for Mike, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Mike throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Penn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Penn fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Penn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mike manages to avoid it. Nice body punch from Penn. No joy there for Mike, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mike looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A combination from Mike does no damage. Penn lands a lovely overhand right.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Mike misses. Mike throws a series of punches but Penn moves out of range. Mike will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Mike tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Penn paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mike throws a series of punches but Penn moves out of range. Mike misses with a few strikes there.
Mike throws a nice looking combination but Penn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Penn throws a looping overhand right but Mike ducks down to avoid it. Mike throws a right and a left that Penn avoids nicely. Penn slips a jab and a cross from Mike.

Karr Mike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mike defending well as Penn loads up on a big left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mike swinging wildly here.

Mike tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mike throws a right hand that Penn ducks under and follows up with a left that Penn also avoids with ease. Penn throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mike falls off balance throwing a combination
and Penn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mike scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Penn throws a looping overhand right but Mike ducks down to avoid it. Mike tries to clinch but Penn moves away letting Penn counter with a right hand. Mike lands a jab-cross combination. Mike scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mike throws a combination that misses enabling Penn to counter with a crisp jab. Penn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edward Penn dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mike is rocked! Mike darts in trying to clinch and Penn counters with a straight right hand. Mike is still on wobbly legs! Can Penn finish him? Penn lands with a nice body punch. Mike seems to have recovered his senses. Penn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Penn counters with a straight right hand. Mike displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Penn throws out the jab. Mike throws a left and a right that both miss
and Penn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Penn tests Mike's chin there with a solid looking shot. Penn paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mike swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Penn counters with a crisp right that sends Mike to the canvas! Penn follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
