Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge VonQulik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Collie Buddz - Come Around as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Jones!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
VonQulik tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
VonQulik shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but VonQulik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
VonQulik closes the distance and lands a one-two.
VonQulik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Jones misses with a hook. VonQulik ducked under it nicely.

VonQulik darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but VonQulik pulls his head out easily.

VonQulik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

VonQulik has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jones has his foot on VonQulik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. VonQulik works his way back into a safe position though.

VonQulik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and VonQulik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
VonQulik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

VonQulik closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - VonQulik lands in his opponent's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jorge VonQulik will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
