Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dane Brigglett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Millard Pinette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dane Brigglett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Millard Pinette! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinette decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Brigglett is refusing to be controlled, as Pinette sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pinette missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pinette trying to control from half guard but Brigglett is working away. Pinette moves into full mount! Brigglett won't be happy about that! Brigglett tries to hold on but Pinette pushes him away. Pinette can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brigglett is looking to escape. Pinette fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
It looks like Dane Brigglett has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinette tries to control but Brigglett wriggling away. Pinette jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Brigglett manages to avoid the submission attempt. Pinette wants to control but Brigglett is keeping him busy. Pinette tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pinette looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brigglett is looking to reverse the position. Brigglett takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Brigglett struggling a bit here. Pinette throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Pinette thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brigglett is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Brigglett is right now. Brigglett tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Pinette controlling the pace for now. Pinette looking to ground and pound but Brigglett is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pinette with shots to the head and body - Brigglett looks very uncomfortable down there. Pinette controlling from the full mount. Brigglett tries to lock up and control but Pinette gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Pinette tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brigglett tries to control Pinette's body but Pinette pushes him off. Brigglett squirms to his side and now Pinette has his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Millard Pinette dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dane Brigglett's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brigglett looks to throw the jab but Pinette is out of range. Brigglett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. No joy there for Brigglett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brigglett throws out a loose jab but Pinette uses good head movement to avoid it. Pinette checks a low kick from Brigglett. Brigglett misses with an uppercut. Pinette blocks a leg kick. Brigglett lands a nice hook to Pinette's body. Pinette takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Pinette fails in his attempt to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brigglett misses with a wild combination.

Pinette scores with a takedown into Brigglett's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinette throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brigglett works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Pinette advances position into side control! Pinette goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brigglett has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Pinette but great work by Brigglett. Pinette is breathing heavily. Brigglett tries to stand but Pinette is controlling his head. Brigglett is looking to take a break and control but Pinette is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brigglett working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brigglett tries to score with some ground and pound. Pinette controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Brigglett trying to control the position but Pinette is working away. Brigglett is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pinette knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Brigglett tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pinette tries to clinch up. Brigglett avoids the body shot from Pinette.
Brigglett misses with a double jab.
Brigglett throws a chopping leg kick but Pinette manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Pinette moves out of range as Brigglett strikes. Pinette uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brigglett. Pinette doesn't manage to clinch there - Brigglett circles away.
Pinette feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Brigglett wants to get back to his feet but Pinette is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brigglett is trying to keep Pinette in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pinette wants to pass the guard but Brigglett is keeping the position. Brigglett wants to stand and escape but Pinette is having none of it. Brigglett controls Pinette momentarily but Pinette frees himself. Pinette tries to free his leg and advance position but Brigglett is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pinette's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Millard Pinette showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dane Brigglett's cut. That's time! Brigglett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Brigglett misses with a few strikes there.
Brigglett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Brigglett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pinette checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Pinette slips a jab from Brigglett. Brigglett misses with a wild combination.
Pinette tries for a takedown but Brigglett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pinette has a takedown stuffed. A combination from Brigglett does no damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brigglett cracks Pinette with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Pinette takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Brigglett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brigglett throws a big shot that misses. Dane Brigglett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brigglett loads up on a big right hand but Pinette slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinette fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dane Brigglett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Millard Pinette. The fighters circling - Brigglett throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Brigglett lands with a hook. Pinette tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Brigglett throws a hook to the side of Pinette's head but Pinette sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Brigglett lands a glancing blow to the side of Pinette's head. Brigglett looks to land a combination but Pinette avoids it well. Brigglett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pinette checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Brigglett jabs Pinette right on the nose. Pinette blinks but takes it well. Brigglett moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Brigglett looks to score with a jab to the body but Pinette is just out of range. Brigglett avoids the head kick by Pinette.
Brigglett looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Brigglett is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pinette dodges the punch combination from Brigglett.
Brigglett tries to bum rush Pinette with a series of wild strikes but Pinette uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pinette gets the takedown into side control. Pinette in side control, just content to control the action for now. Brigglett is not content to let Pinette control the position. Brigglett throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brigglett is looking to reverse the position. Brigglett wants to get back to his feet but Pinette drags him back down. Brigglett is trying to get back to half guard. Pinette working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Brigglett tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pinette wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Brigglett swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pinette counters with a shoot takedown. Brigglett fights it but they end up in guard. Dane Brigglett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brigglett wants to sweep here but Pinette controlling him for the moment. Brigglett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pinette trying to control but Brigglett is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Millard Pinette comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Pinette winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
