Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Phillip McGee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dee Dude! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee lands with a shot to the body. Dude looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGee is fending him off so far but Dude persists. Nope, McGee circles away and we're back to standing. A jab from McGee finds it's way through Dude's defenses. A lazy left from McGee finds it's target. McGee lands with a nice body punch. McGee lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dude shoots in looking for a takedown. McGee tries to sprawl out of it but Dude keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McGee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Phillip McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dee Dude. Dude will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. McGee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dude. Dude takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dude looks gassed! Dude changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGee tries to avoid it but Dude manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGee to the ground. McGee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McGee digs a good body shot into Dude's ribs. Dude on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dee Dude seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGee gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A short right hand to the side of the head by McGee. McGee lands a nice shot to the body. Dude's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! McGee lands a body shot in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dude has McGee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McGee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A right hand to the body from McGee.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with McGee for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. A body shot lands from McGee.

McGee lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. McGee's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. A short right from McGee on the inside. McGee leaning against his opponent.
Dude is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McGee pulls him back up using the underhooks. McGee stalls.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGee works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
McGee slowing the pace effectively. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Phillip McGee. Dude walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. McGee cracks a nice hook into Dude's ribs. Dude has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McGee. McGee tests Dude's chin there with a solid looking shot. McGee lands a nice shot that snaps Dude's head back.

McGee ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGee closes the distance and pushes Dude back into the cage. McGee controlling the action here for a moment.
McGee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McGee fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dude. Dude doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. McGee gets in close and instigates a clinch. McGee is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
McGee throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Dude is trying desperately to land a takedown but McGee is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Dude. McGee's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. McGee scores with a hook to the body. McGee is working Dude over against the cage. McGee lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. McGee lands with a short head shot on the inside. McGee lands with a short shot to the head. McGee holding his opponent close, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dude goes for a takedown attempt but McGee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
McGee connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. McGee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. McGee rushes Dude and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. McGee breaks the clinch.
McGee thuds a left hand into Dude's body. McGee with a nice cross. McGee is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Nice straight punches there by McGee. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McGee. Dude drops his hands momentarily and McGee takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McGee stuns Dude with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dude gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McGee. Dude takes a shot right to the bread basket. McGee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. McGee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McGee rushes Dude and presses him up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phillip McGee dominated that round. That's time! McGee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McGee lands a jab to the head.
McGee throws a nice looking combination but Dude bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dude shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGee pinned against the cage. McGee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dude shoots in for a double leg but McGee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. McGee lands a jab to Dude's midsection. The crowd cheers as McGee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dude doesn't seem phased though. McGee throws a combination. Dude tries to block but a couple of punches get through. McGee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dude momentarily.
The fight moves into the clinch position. McGee is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. McGee works on Dude's body with a couple of short punches. A short uppercut from McGee. A bit of stalling here from McGee.
McGee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dude can do to turn this around? Dude is breathing heavily. A shot in the inside from McGee.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. McGee seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Phillip McGee. McGee gets in close and instigates a clinch. McGee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dude decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. McGee keeping hold of Dude's head, controlling as best he can. Dude is stalling here. McGee is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dude seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McGee has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dude tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. McGee sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dude can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McGee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Phillip McGee just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Dude with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McGee to score with a decent uppercut. McGee lands a body shot.
Dude is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Phillip McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dee Dude. Dude fails with a takedown attempt. McGee with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phillip McGee dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
McGee lands with an overhand left. Dude shoots in but McGee avoids the takedown attempt easily. McGee stuffs the takedown. The fight moves into the clinch position. The referee is keeping an eye on McGee - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Dude has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. McGee lands with a light punch inside. Dude is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McGee pulls him back up using the underhooks. Phillip McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dee Dude. A short body shot lands from McGee as the two fighters clinch.

McGee scores with a hook to the body. McGee is leaning against Dude and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Dude takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. McGee lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. McGee slows down the pace here.

McGee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dude has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dude there as he acknowledges the shot. McGee lands with an overhand left. Dude takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

McGee gets a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! A short right from McGee. Dude's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! McGee stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. McGee slowing the pace effectively. McGee lands a nice uppercut.

McGee catches Dude with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Phillip McGee is winning the standup battle so far. Dude misses with a takedown attempt - McGee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McGee lands a two punch combo.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McGee scores with a decent looking hook. Dude shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGee sprawls well. McGee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dude gets slowly back to his feet. Dude tries to move into range but McGee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. McGee ducks down and throws a hook to the body. McGee lands with a good body shot. McGee clinches with his opponent.

Dude is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McGee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Dude drops down looking for an ankle pick but McGee pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dude fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McGee throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dee Dude has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McGee scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. McGee lands with a nice combination. Dude backs away looking to recover.
And that's the end of the fight! Phillip McGee showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
