Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Newheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stian Ask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyle Newheart! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stian Ask! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newheart decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ask slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ask should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Newheart has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ask is proving hard to escape from. Ask working a defensive guard here.
Newheart wants to control from the top but Ask keeps moving. Newheart postures up.
Newheart sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ask's guard. Newheart wants to stand up but Ask has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ask tries to roll over but Newheart keeps him under control. Newheart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Ask showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Newheart.
Ask stuffs the takedown. Decent striking displayed by Newheart there. Newheart wants to clinch up but Ask keeps it at a distance. Newheart looks to land a combination but Ask avoids it well. Newheart throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ask. Newheart misses with a series of wild punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Newheart looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Newheart shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ask as he avoids it easily. Newheart is breathing heavily. Newheart tries to clinch up. Newheart looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Newheart tries to close the distance and clinch but Ask swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Newheart swinging wilding here.

Kyle Newheart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Newheart throws a series of punches but Ask avoids them all with ease. A choreographed right hand from Newheart misses the target. No joy there for Newheart, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ask has clasped his hands together around Newheart's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Ask trying to control the action but Newheart is working from the bottom. Ask avoids the strikes from the bottom by Newheart. Newheart tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ask is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Newheart knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ask goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Newheart rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ask's guard! Nice work there by Newheart! We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ask has eaten all the pies!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ask is trying to control the position but Newheart postures up. Ask working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Newheart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Newheart manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Newheart content to stall in guard here. Newheart trying to control but Ask is working from the bottom. Newheart wants to stand but Ask is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyle Newheart dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Newheart closes the distance but Ask moves to the side and Ask counters with a nice double leg into side control. Newheart won't be happy with that. Ask working away. Ask tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ask is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Newheart knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Newheart wants to get back to his feet but Ask drags him back down. Ask is breathing heavily. Newheart manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Newheart is pressing down on Ask's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newheart has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ask is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Newheart. Newheart is trying to get back to his feet. Newheart sneaks back into half guard. Newheart looking for a kimura from the bottom but Ask passes into side control! Newheart can't do much from the bottom here. Ask is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Newheart is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Newheart manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newheart is trying to escape back to his feet but Ask uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Newheart pushes Ask away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ask gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Ask has hold of Newheart's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Newheart tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ask cranks the arm and Newheart screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Newheart, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Stian Ask! Stian Ask is the new heavyweight champion!
