Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kim Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JanOle Stafjard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stafjard has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The key to victory for Kim Woo has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A punch combination from Woo misses. Stafjard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Stafjard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stafjard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Woo tries to bench press Stafjard off him but Stafjard keeps the position. Woo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Woo regains full guard. Nicely done. Stafjard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Woo keeping moving, preventing Stafjard from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Woo forces Stafjard back against the cage and clinches. Woo is trying to force a seperation but Stafjard has the dominant position. Woo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Woo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Stafjard shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Woo napping and manages to drive through into side control! A lull in the action here as Stafjard stalls from top position. Stafjard is working to tighten is grip on Woo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Woo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stafjard is really squeezing tight and eventually Woo passes out! Stafjard breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
