Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fred Korematsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craigie Bee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Korematsu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Craigie Bee's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fred Korematsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Craigie Bee!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korematsu tries to clinch there but Bee circles away.
Korematsu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bee throws out the jab.
Korematsu goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nice sprawl there from Korematsu as Bee shoots in.
Bee fails with a takedown attempt.

Korematsu clinches.
Bee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Fred Korematsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craigie Bee.
Bee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Korematsu smiles and moves away.
Korematsu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Korematsu is looking to clinch but Bee is avoiding it.

Bee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Bee feints and as Korematsu raises his hands in defense, Bee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Korematsu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Korematsu tries to get out of the position.
Bee sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Korematsu is looking to stand up but Bee isn't so interested in that idea.

Bee tries to free his leg and advance position but Korematsu is retaining full guard.

Bee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bee trying to control the position from guard on top but Korematsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Korematsu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bee shoots in for a double leg but Korematsu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Korematsu lunges at Bee with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bee's hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bee shoots for a takedown but Korematsu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bee looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Korematsu!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bee tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Korematsu's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bee looking to control and managing it successfully.
Korematsu is trying to stand but he's just given Bee his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Craigie Bee dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bee tries for a takedown but Korematsu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Bee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A lull in the action here as Bee stalls from top position.
Bee tries to advance to mount but Korematsu denies him.
Korematsu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Korematsu keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bee trying to control the action but Korematsu is working from the bottom.
Korematsu is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bee is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bee remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Korematsu pushes Bee away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bee gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bee has hold of Korematsu's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Korematsu seems comfortable defending it but Bee has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Korematsu is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Korematsu is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Bee couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Craigie Bee!
