Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Let Ji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Weddle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ji kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Anathema - Judgement. The crowd seem to be enjoying Weddle's choice of entrance music: remember the name - fort minor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Let Ji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wes Weddle!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weddle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ji lands an overhand right.
Weddle swats away the attempt to clinch by Ji.

Ji closes the distance and clinches.
Ji trying to stall but Weddle improves his position.
Weddle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ji throws an elbow but it misses.
Ji comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Wes Weddle has been cut.

Ji trying to control the position but instead, Weddle has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ji into the cage.
Weddle goes for a takedown attempt but Ji pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ji tries to close the distance and clinch up but Weddle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice takedown defense from Ji. No joy for Weddle on that attempt.
Let Ji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wes Weddle.
Ji throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ji tries to clinch up but Weddle circles away and keeps his distance.

Weddle tries to pull guard but Ji holds him up against the cage and eventually Weddle drops back down to his feet.
Ji lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Weddle backwards.
Ji creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Weddle's defenses.
Weddle has Ji pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ji manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Weddle drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Weddle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ji gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Weddle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ji darts in and clinches Weddle up against the cage.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ji for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Weddle tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ji avoids it.
Weddle fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ji gets underhooks to prevent Weddle's takedown attempt.
Weddle blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

That has opened up Wes Weddle's cut even more.
Weddle pushes off an throws an elbow but Ji leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

The referee is keeping an eye on Ji - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Weddle has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ji regains guard immediately.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Weddle trying to control but Ji is working from the bottom.
Weddle landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ji bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Weddle's guard.
Ji not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ji with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ji has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Weddle to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ji is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Weddle pulls down on the head and he's put Ji to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wes Weddle!
