Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henry Willian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guapo Obispo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Willian has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Willian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Guapo Obispo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willian throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Obispo.

Willian has Obispo up against the cage in a clinch.
Willian tries to circle away but Obispo has him pinned against the cage.
Obispo lands a nice knee to the body.

Obispo has Willian pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Obispo pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Willian tumbling to the mat - Obispo dives into Willian's guard.
Obispo wants to control from the top but Willian keeps moving.
Willian looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Willian can't keep his opponent in guard - Obispo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Willian moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Willian is looking to stand up but Obispo isn't so interested in that idea.
Willian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Willian throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Obispo escapes and throws Willian's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ground and pound from Obispo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
No joy there for Willian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Obispo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Obispo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Willian misses with a double jab.
Willian throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Willian works over Obispo's head and body with a nice combination.
Willian throws a series of punches but Obispo avoids them all with ease.
Willian throws a nice looking combination but Obispo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Willian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Willian throws a one two combo.
Willian tries for a takedown but Obispo circles away easily

and Obispo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Willian. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Guapo Obispo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Obispo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Willian tries to avoid it but Obispo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Willian to the ground. Willian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Obispo counters with a single leg into guard. Willian didn't expect that.

Willian escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Obispo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Guapo Obispo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Willian wants to stand but Obispo is controlling the position.
Obispo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Willian swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Obispo wants to control from the top but Willian keeps moving.

Willian had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Obispo defends it easily.

Willian kicks Obispo off and gets to his feet.

Willian fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Obispo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Willian.

Willian throws and elbow that misses. Obispo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Willian's guard. Nice move by Obispo!

Willian has his foot on Obispo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Obispo works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Obispo has control of Willian's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Willian regains control of the situation pretty easily.
You get the feeling that Willian really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Willian wants to hold on but Obispo pushes him away.

Willian won't allow Obispo to pass to mount.

Guapo Obispo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Willian lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Obispo backs up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Willian lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Willian.

Willian closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Willian tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Willian has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Willian is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Obispo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

so Obispo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Willian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Obispo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Henry Willian.
I think Obispo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
