Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Becken!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White clinches.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

White fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Becken sprawls well initially but White persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
White wants to stand but Becken has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
White not doing much here.
White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Becken on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Becken wants to control but White is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

White forces Becken back against the cage and clinches.
White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Becken wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Becken is looking to break free of the clinch but White has double underhooks.
White will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Becken up against the cage.
Becken has White pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. White manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Becken jumps guard but White stands there with Becken around his waist. Becken gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Becken misses with a punch to the body.
Becken fails to pull guard.
Jack White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Becken.

White breaks from the clinch.
White scores with a head kick.

White gets a clinch.
Becken is looking to break free of the clinch but White has double underhooks.

Becken pulls guard effortlessly.
Becken not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Becken doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Becken is looking to stand back up but White counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Becken.

White stands up and beckons Becken to his feet.
White throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

White gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Becken misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Becken tries to throw a body punch but White avoids it by throwing Becken back against the cage.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

White clinches up against the cage.
Stalling in the clinch from White.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Becken has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. White is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Becken looks gassed!
White blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as White takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

White escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
White throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


Becken is rocked!


It looks like Michael Becken has been cut.
Becken clinches but White breaks the clinch
and White counters with a series of strikes. Becken will be more careful next time no doubt.
Becken is still on wobbly legs! Can White finish him?

White rushes Becken and presses him up against the cage.

White works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Becken seems to have recovered his senses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
White throws and elbow that misses. Becken uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in White's guard. Nice move by Becken!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Becken is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! White's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Becken avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
White fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

White rushes Becken and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

White breaks from the clinch.
Michael Becken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Becken.
White lands a slapping body shot.
White circles away from the clinch attempt

and White counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by White.
Becken can't break the clinch.
White works on Becken's body with a couple of short punches.

White breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Becken shoots and misses
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and White makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Becken swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and White counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Becken is breathing heavily.

White has closed the distance and engaged Becken in a clinch.

White breaks the clinch.
White throws a right and a left that Becken avoids nicely.
Becken takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
White lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
White swinging wilding here.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Becken tries to land knees in the clinch but White avoids the damage to the body.

White breaks the clinch.

Becken throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent White stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A nice combination there by White.
White lands with a slapping head kick.
White misses with a two punch combination.
Becken fails with the takedown

and White counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Becken tries to bench press White off him but White keeps the position.

Becken makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Becken shoots in and bounces White off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Becken shoots in for a double leg but White sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and White counters with a series of strikes. Becken will be more careful next time no doubt.

Becken shoots and misses
and White counters with a head kick.
Becken tries to bum rush White with a series of wild strikes but White uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

White scores with a takedown into Becken's guard.
White has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

White gets to his feet - Becken follows without any prompting.

White gets in close and instigates a clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

White feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Becken's calf.
White pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
White fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Becken misses with a few strikes there.
Becken throws a sloppy head kick

and White counters by clinching up.
Becken tries to break the clinch but White is controlling the position.
Becken tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. White smiles and moves away.
Becken gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and White counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Becken is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Becken is wriggling around but White manages to pass to half guard.
Becken takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Becken wants to improve his position but White is controlling well.
It looks like White is going to stand back up.

Becken actively working from the bottom here.
White is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Becken defends it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Becken throws a combination that misses
and White counters with a body kick that stops Becken in his tracks momentarily.
White throws a leg kick which misses Becken's front leg but catches the back leg as Becken tries to avoid it.
Becken has his takedown stuffed

and White counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jack White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Becken.
Becken gets full guard.
Becken managing to control the position.
Jack White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Becken controls White momentarily but White frees himself.
Becken wants to get back to his feet but White is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Becken is on top in guard.

Becken is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Becken content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Becken gets to his feet. White looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

White moves into the clinch successfully.

White moves into range and clinches up with Becken.
White unloads a knee to the mid-section. Becken lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

White breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Becken on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by White. White obviously looking to wear him down.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well White has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
