The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from guy does no damage.
Wales cracks guy with an open hand slap.
Wales changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. guy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
guy is looking to regain half guard here but Wales keeps moving and retains side control.
guy is working hard here to advance position.
Wales is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

guy avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Wales.

guy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sloppy strikes there by Wales.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
guy shoots in for a double leg but Wales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wales cracks guy with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! guy falls to his knees and Wales doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
