Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donald Mozzer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Yizzle! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yizzle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Donald Mozzer has been cut. Mozzer has a takedown stuffed. Yizzle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mozzer's guard. Yizzle postures up.
Mozzer wants to sweep here but Yizzle controlling him for the moment. Mozzer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Yizzle puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Mozzer is trying to maintain the position but Yizzle is very close to passing his half guard. Yizzle tries to pass the half guard into mount. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mozzer walks into a straight right hand from Yizzle. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Yizzle!

Mozzer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mozzer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mozzer has his takedown stuffed and Yizzle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donald Mozzer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yizzle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yizzle throws a right and a left that both miss. Jay Yizzle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yizzle misses with a double jab.

Yizzle landing strikes from the mount and Mozzer is in trouble! A nice elbow there by Yizzle. Mozzer working to try and regain half guard.
Yizzle content just to control the position here. Yizzle lands a big elbow. Yizzle looking to control and managing it successfully. Yizzle lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yizzle avoids the attempt from Mozzer to control. Yizzle prevents Mozzer from getting the reversal. Yizzle lands a big elbow. Yizzle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mozzer tries to get back to half guard but can't. Yizzle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mozzer sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Yizzle slows the pace down in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yizzle connects with a nice short shot to Mozzer's temple. Mozzer is looking to improve his position.

Mozzer wants to control but Yizzle is keeping busy and won't allow it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Yizzle in particular looking to stall.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yizzle is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yizzle looks to land a combination but Mozzer avoids it well. Yizzle has his takedown stuffed and Mozzer counters with a nice double leg into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mozzer controls Yizzle momentarily but Yizzle frees himself. Yizzle throws a strike but Mozzer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Yizzle lands with a hook. Mozzer tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Mozzer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yizzle avoids it really well and circles away. Yizzle misses with a two punch combination.

Mozzer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yizzle can't do much from the bottom here. Mozzer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yizzle keeps working. Yizzle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mozzer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Donald Mozzer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yizzle tries to improve position but can't. Mozzer throwing shots but missing, from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Donald Mozzer. Well Yizzle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
