Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, William Magahin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Whizzer Oz!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Magahin throws a head kick but Oz moves out of range.
Magahin throws out a powerful jab.
Magahin looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Oz keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Magahin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oz with a nice cross.
Oz closes the distance and clinches up with Magahin, looking for a takedown. Oz pushes Magahin against the cage but Magahin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Magahin as Oz shoots in.
William Magahin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whizzer Oz.
Oz tries for a takedown but Magahin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Magahin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Oz somewhat.
Magahin throws a head kick that misses.
Magahin throws a head kick but Oz moves out of range.
Magahin defending well as Oz loads up on a big left hand.
Oz has a takedown stuffed.
Oz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Magahin is fending him off so far but Oz persists. Nope, Magahin circles away and we're back to standing.
Whizzer Oz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Magahin tries a head kick but it misses.
Magahin throws a wild body kick that Oz sees coming a mile off.
Oz throws a right and a left that Magahin avoids nicely.
Magahin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Magahin throws a half hearted mid kick.
Magahin scores with a head kick.
Oz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Magahin defends it nicely.
Oz looks gassed!
Magahin misses with a few strikes there.
Magahin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Horrible takedown by Oz or perhaps it was just good defense by Magahin which made him look bad.
Magahin grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Oz takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Magahin cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
