Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kevin Curtain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Uncle Sam!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtain slaps away a takedown attempt from Sam, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Curtain is looking to score with low kicks.
Sam shoots in but no luck this time.
Curtain with a jab.
A punch lands to the side of Sam 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nice defenses there by Curtain.
Sam shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Curtain defends it nicely.
Kevin Curtain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uncle Sam.
Curtain lands a right hook to the body.
Curtain lands an overhand right.


It looks like Uncle Sam has been cut.
Curtain lands a nice shot that snaps Sam's head back.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Curtain moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Uncle Sam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice jab there from Curtain.
Curtain lands a glancing blow to the side of Sam's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sam is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Curtain's half guard.
Curtain tries to get to full guard but Sam has control of the leg.
Curtain manages to get to full guard.
Curtain has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Curtain has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Sam postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sam throws a strike but Curtain rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curtain is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Sam tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Curtain advances position into side control!
Sam is trying to escape the position but Curtain is controlling the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sam can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kevin Curtain just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Curtain lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Curtain moves into range and connects with a jab.
Curtain connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Curtain scores with a shot to the body.
Curtain blocks a jab.
Curtain lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Curtain scores with a sloppy right hand. Sam should have avoided that one.

Sam closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Curtain lands a nice shot to the body.
Sam looks gassed!

Sam closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Curtain to the mat! Curtain manages to get full guard.
Curtain is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Well, if Curtain is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Curtain wants to pass to mount but Sam is defending the position.
