Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Battling Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cocky Balboner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Ace of Base - Beautiful Life. Balboner has chosen You're The Best Around as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Battling Bob! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cocky Balboner! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboner misses with a double jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Bob will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bob slips a jab from Balboner. Bob takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Battling Bob has been cut. Balboner looks to score with a jab to the body but Bob is just out of range. Balboner throws a looping overhand right but Bob ducks down to avoid it. Bob scores with a hook. Bob decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Balboner won't allow Bob to pass to mount. Bob is working hard here to advance position. Bob thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Balboner's head. Bob prevents Balboner from improving his position. Bob scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bob missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboner wants to control but Bob is keeping busy.
Balboner is looking for a sweep. Bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bob fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bob uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Balboner. Balboner lands a right hook to the body.
Bob slips a jab from Balboner. A big right from Balboner misses. Balboner scores with a punch to the head. Bob feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bob is standing up over Balboner. Balboner looks to escape but Bob dives into side control.
Balboner is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A control attempt from Balboner but he's now mounted! BOOM! Bob connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bob in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Balboner is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Balboner can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Balboner avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bob.
Balboner tries to hold on but Bob postures up. Balboner is bucking up trying to escape but Bob cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Balboner wants to hold on but Bob pushes him away. Bob prevents Balboner from getting the reversal. Bob putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Balboner tries to hold on but Bob postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Balboner is looking to get to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bob lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Balboner can do anything to dispel that myth. Bob wants to control the pace but Balboner is squirming around nicely. Bob prevents Balboner from getting the reversal. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bob with a couple of short strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Balboner really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Battling Bob dominated that round. The cut man is working on Battling Bob's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Balboner jabbing away but nothing is landing. Balboner throws a hook but Bob avoids it easily. Bob has taken the fight to the clinch.

Bob tries for a takedown but Balboner manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Battling Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bob keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Balboner's efforts to push away. Bob changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Balboner fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bob keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Balboner. Balboner lands a jab to the head.
Bob uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Balboner. A lazy left from Bob finds it's target. Balboner misses with a hook. Bob rushes Balboner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bob drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Balboner tries to break free but Bob pushes him back against the cage. Bob is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Balboner wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bob stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Balboner throws a looping overhand right but Bob ducks down to avoid it. Balboner misses with a series of wild punches.
Cocky Balboner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Bob with that takedown attempt. The fight moves into the clinch position. Bob is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Balboner pulls him back up using the underhooks. Bob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Balboner scores with a nice head shot. Bob looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Balboner is fending him off so far but Bob persists. Nope, Balboner circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Balboner throws a shot from downtown. Bob moves away and avoids it. Bob ducks under a wild hook from Balboner. Balboner throws a right and a left that Bob avoids nicely. Bob closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Bob missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Balboner controlling the position for now. Bob wants to control but Balboner is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bob. Balboner is looking to control Bob's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Balboner avoid being mounted? Balboner tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bob has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Balboner working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bob lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Balboner tries to reverse the position but Bob maintains control. Balboner is in a horrible position here. Bob smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Balboner is looking to improve his position but Bob isn't that keen on the idea. Bob in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bob trying to control but Balboner is having none of it. Bob avoids the attempt from Balboner to control. Balboner is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Battling Bob will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Battling Bob's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bob tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A slow jab from Balboner misses its intended target. Balboner stuffs the takedown. Balboner connects with a single shot there. Bob dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bob shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bob landing punches. Balboner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Balboner working to try and regain half guard.
Balboner wants to control but Bob is having none of it. Balboner is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bob is staying active.
That's one minute gone in the round. Balboner is squirming around, avoiding Bob's attempts to control the action. Bob looking to finish Balboner with some ground and pound. This is bad for Balboner!
Balboner is rocked! Bob scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Balboner is still in real trouble! Can Bob finish him? Bob lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Balboner takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Bob's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Battling Bob! Battling Bob retains his middleweight title!
