The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKinney will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jackson scores with a nice strike.
The fighters circling - Jackson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

I looks like McKinney might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
McKinney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.

McKinney is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jackson's shoulder. That is not cool.

Despite being in the dominant position, Julian McKinney just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McKinney.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but McKinney bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

McKinney shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely.
McKinney fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.
McKinney takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson throws a series of strikes that have McKinney backpedaling.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McKinney takes a shot right to the bread basket.

McKinney shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
McKinney tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

McKinney is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jackson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jackson is squirming around, avoiding McKinney's attempts to control the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kelk Jackson will probably get the nod.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The crowd cheers as Jackson lands an impressive looking overhand right. McKinney doesn't seem phased though.
McKinney displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jackson throws out the jab.
Jackson throws a hook to the side of McKinney's head but McKinney sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McKinney tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McKinney is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jackson misses with a two punch combination.
Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps McKinney's head back.

Jackson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McKinney to score an easy takedown into full guard.

McKinney passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McKinney is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jackson's shoulder. That is not cool.
McKinney wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee asks McKinney politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. McKinney prefers to stall for the moment though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kelk Jackson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
