The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flipovic avoids the head kick by Riberio.
A head kick misses from Flipovic.
Riberio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Flipovic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Riberio throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Flipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Riberio fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riberio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flipovic swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Riberio counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Riberio is pushing down on Flipovic's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flipovic is fighting to maintain full guard but Riberio has managed to sneak the leg through.
Riberio is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Riberio stops Flipovic from getting back to his feet.
Riberio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flipovic keeps working.

Riberio seems to be looking for submissions.

Riberio is looking to stall here but Flipovic recovers full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
