Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pai Dad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Ingram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pai Dad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tony Ingram!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dad shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ingram controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Ingram is staying active underneath Dad, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ingram moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Dad drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ingram dives on top into guard.
Dad wants to stand up but Ingram is controlling him.

Ingram is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ingram works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Ingram looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Dad trying to hold on to Ingram's head to control him but Ingram postures up.
Ingram is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ingram moves to the back position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Let's hope that Ingram has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tony Ingram just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dad fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ingram takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dad tries to clinch there but Ingram circles away.
Ingram is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ingram defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dad.
Nice takedown defense from Ingram. No joy for Dad on that attempt.

Dad moves in looking to clinch but Ingram pushes him off.
Dad displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ingram.
Dad lands a really nice looking cross but Ingram seems unphased.

Ingram is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dad!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ingram in particular looking to stall.

What can Dad do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Ingram just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dad just trying to survive but Ingram is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Ingram really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Dad.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tony Ingram just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dad shoots in looking for a takedown. Ingram tries to sprawl out of it but Dad keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ingram manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dad is looking to clinch but Ingram is avoiding it.
Dad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ingram as he jumps to the side.
Dad keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Dad tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ingram presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Tony Ingram showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ingram fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dad avoids it really well and circles away.
Ingram avoids the head kick by Dad.
Pai Dad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ingram decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ingram looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ingram frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dad is trying to reverse the position but instead Ingram has taken his back - oops!
What can Dad do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ingram controls the action.

Ingram has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ingram there as he acknowledges the shot.
No joy there for Dad, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ingram swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dad keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Dad closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Ingram shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dad counters with a single leg into guard. Ingram didn't expect that.
Pai Dad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Ingram.
Ingram is pulling down on Dad's head. It's preventing any offense from Dad, at least for the moment.

Tony Ingram is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ingram seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
