Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aku Tokugawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genival Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aku Tokugawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Genival Lacerda!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Lacerda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Tokugawa is looking to clinch.
Tokugawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lacerda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lacerda avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tokugawa moves in looking to clinch but Lacerda pushes him off.
Tokugawa tries to clinch but Lacerda is having none of it.
Tokugawa fails in his attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lacerda.
Lacerda misses with a takedown attempt - Tokugawa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lacerda tries for a takedown but Tokugawa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aku Tokugawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Genival Lacerda.
Tokugawa doesn't manage to clinch there - Lacerda circles away.
Tokugawa is looking to clinch but Lacerda is avoiding it.

Aku Tokugawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lacerda throws a series of punches but Tokugawa avoids them all with ease.
Tokugawa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lacerda swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lacerda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tokugawa's waist but Tokugawa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lacerda off to one side.

Aku Tokugawa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lacerda shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tokugawa pinned against the cage. Tokugawa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Tokugawa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lacerda, pushing him back against the cage.

Lacerda has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tokugawa is trying to keep an underhook but Lacerda manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Tokugawa is breathing heavily.

Lacerda is working for a kimura but Tokugawa is defending it quite comfortably.
Lacerda is keen to just control but Tokugawa is a slippery customer.

Lacerda thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lacerda is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lacerda is trying to control the action in half guard but Tokugawa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lacerda is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genival Lacerda dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Lacerda is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tokugawa's half guard.

Lacerda prevents Tokugawa from standing back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lacerda is looking to take a break and control but Tokugawa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lacerda stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Tokugawa to get to his feet.
Lacerda shoots in for a double leg but Tokugawa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lacerda gets the takedown into side control.
Tokugawa is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lacerda asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Lacerda misses with the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lacerda tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lacerda has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tokugawa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genival Lacerda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Lacerda moves into the clinch.
Tokugawa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lacerda.
Lacerda is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Tokugawa gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Tokugawa is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.
Lacerda pulls Tokugawa in to control the position.
Tokugawa has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lacerda is proving hard to escape from.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lacerda has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Tokugawa should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lacerda has tightened it up now! Tokugawa should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
