Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Esposito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarvis Lipovsky! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lipovsky with a nice cross.
It looks like John Esposito has been cut. Esposito moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Jarvis Lipovsky has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lipovsky misses the jab. Lipovsky throws a jab but it's blocked by Esposito. Lipovsky moves in looking to clinch but Esposito pushes him off. Lipovsky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Esposito manages to avoid it. Esposito uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lipovsky.
Lipovsky tries to work over Esposito's front leg with a kick but Esposito checks it. Esposito ducks under a wild hook from Lipovsky. Lipovsky fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Lipovsky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Esposito manages to avoid it. Lipovsky throws a looping overhand right but Esposito ducks down to avoid it. Lipovsky connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Esposito defending well as Lipovsky loads up on a big left hand. Lipovsky looks to land a body kick but Esposito moved away. A cross from Lipovsky lands. Lipovsky thows a body shot but no joy. Lipovsky throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Esposito avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Esposito works over Lipovsky's head and body with a nice combination. Esposito checks a leg kick. Esposito fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Esposito keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Lipovsky looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lipovsky uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Esposito. Danga de danga de dang - Esposito scores with a four punch combination! Lipovsky takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Esposito lands a glancing blow to the side of Lipovsky's head.
That has opened up Jarvis Lipovsky's cut even more. Esposito connects with a looping right hand.
Esposito lands a jab to Lipovsky's midsection. Jarvis Lipovsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Esposito rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lipovsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lipovsky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Esposito.
Lipovsky misses with a looping right. Lipovsky gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esposito will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lipovsky takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Esposito's corner calls for a 1-2. Esposito obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Esposito fails to land with a series of punches.
Lipovsky on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Esposito lands a nice looking body shot.
Lipovsky takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The cut above Jarvis Lipovsky's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Esposito lands a two punch combo.
Esposito darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jarvis Lipovsky's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Lipovsky slips a jab and a cross from Esposito.
Esposito scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Esposito lunges at Lipovsky with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lipovsky's hand. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Esposito, as that shot connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Esposito tests Lipovsky's chin there with a solid looking shot. Esposito rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lipovsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Esposito throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lipovsky keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Esposito. Esposito scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jarvis Lipovsky's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
