The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanehara shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lefebvre as he jumps to the side.
Lefebvre is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kanehara sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kanehara keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kanehara shoots and misses
and Lefebvre counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kanehara's guard now.
Lefebvre gets to his feet. Kanehara looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Lefebvre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kanehara napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kanehara is trying to work for a sweep but Lefebvre has mounted him!
Lefebvre trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kanehara has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Lefebvre's lack of action.
Kanehara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kanehara.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lefebvre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kanehara swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanehara had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lefebvre defends it easily.
Lefebvre postures up in Kanehara's guard and throws a big left but Kanehara blocks it.
Lefebvre landing with the ground and pound.
Lefebvre throws a sloppy strike and Kanehara has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Lefebvre is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Kanehara!
