Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Chesser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tim Chesser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gabriel Key!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chesser fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Key swinging wildly here.
Gabriel Key seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chesser shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Key but Key pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Key really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chesser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chesser cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chesser can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Key is looking to escape.

Chesser shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Key is trying to defend but Chesser finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Chesser takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Chesser takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Chesser stalks Key and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Key's face. Key staggers backwards, shaken.

Key might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Key is bucking up trying to escape but Chesser cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Chesser is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Key has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Key!
Key must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gabriel Key has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chesser swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Key cracks a nice hook into Chesser's ribs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chesser wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Key, who protects the arm well.
Chesser throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Key is looking for a sweep.
Chesser is putting a hurting on Key here, landing some big shots from side control.

Chesser looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Tim Chesser overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Chesser tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chesser has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tim Chesser showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chesser, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
