PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Grimson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Zitto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grimson comes to the cage accompanied by Carcass-Corporeal Jigsore Quandary. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zitto swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Zitto looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Grimson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Zitto is holding on to half guard well.
Grimson is looking to stall here but Zitto recovers full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Grimson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Grimson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Zitto uses it to pass to side control.

Zitto manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Grimson is now in side control.

Grimson swings around for an armbar but Zitto sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grimson's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Grimson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Zitto is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Grimson.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Zitto slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
You can see the frustration on Grimson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Grimson has his foot on Zitto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zitto works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Zitto seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
