Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tap Out!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Tanjili!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanjili shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Out pinned against the cage. Out gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tanjili looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Out throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tanjili was covering up waiting for the punch and Out finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tanjili can't keep his opponent in guard - Out advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Well, if Out is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Out scoring with strikes to the body and head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Out connects with a nice short shot to Tanjili's temple.
Out is trying to control. Tanjili wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Out looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Out lands a nice short elbow.

Out is trying to work for a kimura but Tanjili is defending well.
Out is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Out has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tanjili's face.

Out working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Tanjili looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Out! Submission of the night perhaps?
