Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Spade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coach Goochman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spade comes into the arena with Ace Of Spades blaring out of the sound system. Goochman has chosen Public Enemy - He Got Game as his entrance music. Coach Goochman has the eye of the tiger tonight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Goochman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Spade shoots in for a takedown but Goochman shows good takedown defense.
Spade checks the leg kick.
Spade closes the distance and clinches up with Goochman, looking for a takedown. Spade pushes Goochman against the cage but Goochman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Goochman throws and low kick but Spade moves out of range easily.
Spade rushes Goochman and presses him up against the cage.
Spade escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Goochman stops a takedown attempt from Spade.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Spade. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Spade has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Goochman uses from the top position.

Goochman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spade manages to avoid it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spade looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Spade is looking for a kimura here.
Spade wants to take a breather but Goochman is having none of it.
Goochman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spade. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
