Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Duvernay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by The DOC vs Earshot. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raymond Duvernay! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duvernay throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Jake Hunter has been cut. Hunter fails with the takedown. Duvernay tries to clinch up but Hunter circles away and keeps his distance. Hunter avoids the head kick by Duvernay.

That's one minute gone in the round. Duvernay throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown but Duvernay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Duvernay moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off. Duvernay tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Duvernay misses with a kick to the body.
Duvernay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Duvernay thows a left - swing and a miss! Duvernay gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hunter. Duvernay's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Duvernay duly obliges.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duvernay is looking to land body kicks. Duvernay misses with a head kick.
Duvernay tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Duvernay misses with a wild combination.
Hunter drives through with a takedown into guard. Hunter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hunter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Duvernay is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Duvernay has escaped and now he's on top! Duvernay wants to stand but Hunter is controlling his posture from full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raymond Duvernay dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jake Hunter's cut. That's time! Hunter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Duvernay throws a head kick but Hunter moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Duvernay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hunter's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter has his foot on Duvernay's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Duvernay works his way back into a safe position though. Hunter looking for a guillotine here but Duvernay defends easily.
Duvernay has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hunter is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Duvernay looking to sit in guard and control but Hunter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter wants to control from the top but Duvernay keeps moving. Duvernay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Duvernay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duvernay wants to stand but Hunter is controlling the position. Duvernay managing to control the position. Hunter trying to control the position from guard on top but Duvernay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Duvernay tries to clinch up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raymond Duvernay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jake Hunter's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Duvernay fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Duvernay doesn't succeed with the takedown so Hunter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter wants to pass the guard but Duvernay is keeping the position. Hunter drops back looking for a leg! Duvernay is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duvernay manages to kick Hunter off! Hunter jumps back into Duvernay's guard. Hunter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duvernay keeping moving, preventing Hunter from controlling successfully. Hunter trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Duvernay manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duvernay is looking to stand up but Hunter won't let him. Jake Hunter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Duvernay has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hunter to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Duvernay is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hunter pulls down on the head and he's put Duvernay to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jake Hunter!
