Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Perusjatka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mauri Perusjatka! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Perusjatka is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Perusjatka circles away and we're back to standing. Perusjatka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard. Perusjatka throwing strikes but missing. Perusjatka throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perusjatka does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Perusjatka is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perusjatka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Perusjatka wants to get back to full guard. Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Perusjatka still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Perusjatka has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Jackson taking a bit of punishment here - Perusjatka scoring with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perusjatka throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Perusjatka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Perusjatka wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Perusjatka in particular looking to stall. Perusjatka is just content to waste time from the top position. Jackson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Perusjatka is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Perusjatka from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Perusjatka with a flurry of punches that miss. Perusjatka trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perusjatka stopping the sweep attempt from Jackson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Perusjatka throws a strike but Jackson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jackson trying to control but Perusjatka is working from the bottom. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perusjatka swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mauri Perusjatka dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Perusjatka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Perusjatka misses with a head shot. Jackson uses the momentum to regain guard. Perusjatka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jackson content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Perusjatka wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Perusjatka can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Perusjatka reverses the position - he's now on top in Jackson's guard. Perusjatka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Perusjatka is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jackson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Perusjatka is now in Jackson's guard. A big mistake from Jackson there, giving up the dominant position! Perusjatka working some strikes from top position. Perusjatka wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Jackson is trying to hold Perusjatka in close to prevent damage but Perusjatka has managed to pass into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perusjatka is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Perusjatka sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jackson defending well though. Jackson is looking to control Perusjatka's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted? Perusjatka looks to land a strike but Jackson avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Perusjatka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

A close second round but Mauri Perusjatka will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jackson tries to clinch but Perusjatka moves out of range. Perusjatka drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. And that's the end of the fight! John Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Perusjatka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
