Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grounden Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Torvi Sorsa Kurasuoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grounden Pound! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Torvi Sorsa Kurasuoli! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pound misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kurasuoli tries to close the distance and clinch but Pound swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kurasuoli throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pound's head. Pound throws a leg kick but Kurasuoli moved away. Pound misses with a two punch combination.
Pound takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kurasuoli swats away the attempt to clinch by Pound. Pound shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kurasuoli napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kurasuoli tries to improve position but can't. Kurasuoli is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kurasuoli trying to control but Pound flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Kurasuoli defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Pound is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Kurasuoli up.
It looks like Torvi Sorsa Kurasuoli has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kurasuoli trying to get back to his feet but Pound is in full control for now. A lull in the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pound is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Pound wants to control but Kurasuoli is keeping busy. Kurasuoli has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Pound is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kurasuoli wants to control his opponent's hands but Pound gets his hands free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pound missing with strikes from the back. Kurasuoli controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Kurasuoli staying busy and making it hard for Pound to control. Kurasuoli trying to control the position but Pound manages to sink in the hooks. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Pound's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pound has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kurasuoli has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Kurasuoli rolls, trying to escape but Pound keeps control of the position.
What can Kurasuoli do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Pound will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kurasuoli wants to control his opponent's hands but Pound gets his hands free. Pound tries to get the hooks in deep but Kurasuoli pushed the leg off. Kurasuoli is in bad spot here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Grounden Pound dominated that round. The cut man is working on Torvi Sorsa Kurasuoli's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pound feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Pound is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Pound slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Pound lands an elbow. Kurasuoli takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kurasuoli is looking for a sweep. Pound has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kurasuoli! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pound tries to control but Kurasuoli wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound moves to the back. Pound avoiding Kurasuoli 's attempts to control his hands. Pound is punishing Kurasuoli with strikes - can he finish him?! Kurasuoli is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Will Pound go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Kurasuoli really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pound. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kurasuoli just trying to survive but Pound is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. The referee is taking a good look at Kurasuoli as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Pound!

Kurasuoli is trapped and Pound is scoring with shots to the head and body. Pound looking to break Kurasuoli's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kurasuoli remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pound will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Pound not allowing Kurasuoli to control his hands. Pound scores with strikes from the back.

Grounden Pound dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Torvi Sorsa Kurasuoli's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kurasuoli connects with the punch. Kurasuoli keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kurasuoli tries to grapple but his opponent circles enabling Pound to counter with a crisp jab. Kurasuoli thuds his right hand into Pound's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Pound closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pound lands in his opponent's guard. Pound's corner is telling him to maintain position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound passes Kurasuoli's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pound lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Pound seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kurasuoli does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kurasuoli wants to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pound tries a head kick but it misses.
Grounden Pound is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pound misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pound tries to move into range but Kurasuoli moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Pound misses with a wild combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Pound or perhaps it was just good defense by Kurasuoli which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grounden Pound. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pound blocks a head kick by Kurasuoli.
Pound shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kurasuoli as he avoids it easily. Kurasuoli tries to close the distance and clinch but Pound swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kurasuoli clobbers Pound with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A head kick from Kurasuoli lands but Pound takes it in his stride. Pound needs to keep his hands up - Kurasuoli had a free shot at his head there. Pound looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pound is taking a breather. Kurasuoli says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Pound seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kurasuoli for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pound is trying to control. Kurasuoli wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Grounden Pound overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kurasuoli pushes Pound off looking to stand but Pound dives back in and keeps control.
Pound is looking to take a break and control but Kurasuoli is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pound content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Torvi Sorsa Kurasuoli has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Grounden Pound is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Grounden Pound showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pound, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
