Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scabby Bat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scabby Bat! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bat misses with a few strikes there.
Bat moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off. Bat tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range. Bat throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bat misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bat closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bat throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Gracie works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Gracie is looking for a sweep. Bat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gracie is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bat stands up and beckons Gracie to join him on the feet. Bat is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Bat. Bat feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Bat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gracie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bat. Bat trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gracie trying to control the position.
Bat throws a big right hand that misses. Gracie controls Bat momentarily but Bat frees himself. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bat passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Bat is thwarting Gracie's attempts to control the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bat tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range. Gracie gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bat postures up.
Gracie keeping full guard, as Bat tries to pass. Bat is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bat looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gracie looking to control.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bat defends it easily. Bat won't allow Gracie to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bat shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Bat keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bat tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bat throws a half hearted mid kick. Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Bat sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bat misses with a low kick.
Bat shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard. Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet. Bat throws and elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bat's guard. Nice move by Gracie! Gracie postures up in Bat's guard and throws a big left but Bat blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scabby Bat dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bat throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease. Bat tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it. Gracie keeps the fight on the outside. Scabby Bat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bat doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Gracie fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bat, pushing him back against the cage. Bat fails to pull guard.
Gracie is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Gracie using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bat has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bat smiles and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Bat is breathing heavily. Gracie gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie wants to control but Bat is keeping busy.
Bat trying to control the action but Gracie is working from the bottom. Bat thows a huge punch but Gracie dodges it nicely.
Bat sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Bat not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bat is working away from the top position though. Gracie gets back to full guard.
Bat trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gracie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bat tries to clinch up and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie. Bat looking to control.
Gracie wants to stand but Bat is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie! Bat looking to finish with strikes here!
Gracie wants to control but Bat is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bat cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gracie is trying desperately to improve position. Gracie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Gracie working to try and regain half guard.
Bat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape. Bat lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Gracie dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Bat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gracie counters with a head kick. That will keep Bat thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! The fight moves into the clinch position. Gracie drags the fight down to the ground.
Bat must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bat gets to his feet. Gracie looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bat darts in trying to clinch and Gracie counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bat throws a combination that misses and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Bat's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bat. Bat takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bat has left one of his arms exposed and Gracie doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Bat screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
