Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Samaroo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Samaroo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Warrior! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samaroo moves into range and clinches up with Warrior. Samaroo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Samaroo fails to land the takedown. Samaroo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Warrior dodges the ground and pound from Samaroo. Samaroo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Warrior, who protects the arm well. Samaroo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Warrior knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Samaroo decides to stand back up. Warrior shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Samaroo pinned against the cage. Samaroo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Samaroo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Warrior looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Samaroo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warrior swats him away and circles back towards the center. Samaroo swats away the attempt to clinch by Warrior. Samaroo shoots in and drives through. Warrior sprawls well. Warrior shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Samaroo as he avoids it easily. He's pushed Samaroo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Warrior misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

He's got his arms around Samaroo's waist but Samaroo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Warrior off to one side. No luck with that takedown attempt from Warrior. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warrior tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Samaroo smiles and moves away.

Warrior can't break the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Warrior jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Samaroo walks away with a smile on his face. Warrior gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Warrior tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Samaroo swivels and escapes. A left and a right from Warrior both land. Nice combination. Warrior shoots for a double leg takedown but Samaroo sprawls well. He's pushed Warrior's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Samaroo tries to clinch but fails miserably and Warrior counters by moving into the clinch.

Warrior manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Samaroo is trying to maintain a safe position but Warrior gets an underhook and turns Samaroo into the cage. That's three minutes gone in the round. Warrior is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Warrior not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Samaroo wants to control from the top but Warrior keeps moving. Samaroo wants to get up but he can't break Warrior's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Samaroo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Warrior avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Warrior shoots for a takedown but Samaroo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Warrior shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Warrior tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Warrior avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andrew Samaroo will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Samaroo working a defensive guard here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Warrior moves into range and clinches up with Samaroo. Samaroo wants to break free but Warrior has control.

Warrior has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Samaroo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Warrior is trying to break the clinch but Samaroo is controlling him. The referee is keeping an eye on Warrior - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Samaroo misses with a knee to the head. Kid Warrior has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andrew Samaroo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Good body shot from Warrior.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andrew Samaroo. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Samaroo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
