Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baby Dragonfly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pulver darts in and clinches Dragonfly up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Pulver lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Dragonfly is looking to control Pulver's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dragonfly avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pulver not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Dragonfly trying to hold on to Pulver's head to control him but Pulver postures up.
Dragonfly is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pulver is working for a kimura but Dragonfly is defending it quite comfortably.
Pulver keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Dragonfly has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pulver is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Horrible takedown by Dragonfly or perhaps it was just good defense by Pulver which made him look bad.
Dragonfly tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pulver sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dragonfly somewhat.
Dragonfly fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Baby Dragonfly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dragonfly walks into a jab.
Dragonfly tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pulver swivels and escapes.

Pulver closes the distance and pushes Dragonfly back into the cage.

Dragonfly has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pulver is trying to keep an underhook but Dragonfly manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dragonfly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Pulver is looking to improve his position.
Dragonfly wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Pulver uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Pulver looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Pulver tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Pulver keeping full guard, as Dragonfly tries to pass.
Pulver wants to sweep here but Dragonfly controlling him for the moment.
Pulver is looking to stand up but Dragonfly isn't so interested in that idea.
Dragonfly seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pulver manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dragonfly avoids a series of strikes thrown by Pulver.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pulver thowing shots but they're missing.
Dragonfly is squirming around, avoiding Pulver's attempts to control the action.
Pulver is trying to control here but Dragonfly has managed to regain half guard.
Dragonfly keeping control of the position.
Dragonfly trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Dragonfly is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ben Pulver dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pulver misses with a wild body shot.
Pulver slaps away a takedown attempt from Dragonfly, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dragonfly fails with a takedown attempt.
Pulver throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dragonfly wants to clinch
and Pulver counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Baby Dragonfly has been cut.
Dragonfly clinches but Pulver breaks the clinch
enabling Pulver to counter with a crisp jab.

Pulver gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dragonfly has Pulver pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pulver manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Baby Dragonfly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dragonfly goes for a takedown attempt but Pulver pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Dragonfly is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pulver keeps Dragonfly at a distance using the push kick.
Oh Dragonfly is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Pulver clinches up against the cage.

Pulver manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Pulver is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dragonfly seems to have got his legs back now.
Pulver wants to control but Dragonfly is keeping him busy.
Dragonfly has hold of Pulver's hands but Pulver slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Still in half guard, Pulver seems content to control.
Let's hope that Pulver has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pulver gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Pulver throws a monster overhand right that drops Dragonfly! Pulver follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
