Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veechi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wonka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Veechi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wonka moves away.

Veechi throws a nice looking combination but Wonka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Veechi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Veechi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wonka has time to react.

Veechi looks to score with a jab to the body but Wonka is just out of range.
Wonka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Veechi did well to prevent Wonka getting side control.

Wonka is taking a breather. Veechi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Veechi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wonka pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Veechi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wonka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Veechi.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Veechi tries to lock up and control but Wonka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close round but I would say that Willie Wonka will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vinny Veechi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Willie Wonka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wonka doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Veechi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wonka thinking.

Wonka avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Veechi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wonka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wonka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Wonka decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Veechi's guard.

Veechi is looking to sweep but instead, Wonka has passed into half guard.

Veechi moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wonka postures up.
Wonka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Veechi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wonka has managed to get both his arms back between Veechi's legs - danger averted.

Veechi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Wonka is just content to waste time from the top position. Veechi takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Veechi throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Veechi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wonka stacks Veechi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wonka!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wonka, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
