Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Trancoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trancoso comes to the cage accompanied by SGX - Composer. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cody Trancoso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roy Nelson! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Trancoso misses. Nelson moves out of range as Trancoso strikes. Nelson lands the left hand. Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Trancoso tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trancoso manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nelson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. The fighters circle momentarily. Nelson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Trancoso keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nelson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nelson shoots for a takedown but Trancoso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cody Trancoso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Nelson. Nelson throws a jab when Trancoso was well out of range. Trancoso takes the fight into the clinch. Trancoso tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Trancoso breaks the clinch.

Nelson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nelson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nelson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson tries to advance to mount but can't. Trancoso manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nelson is not content to let Trancoso control the position. Nelson moves into full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Trancoso is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nelson has an active guard here but Trancoso has managed to pass into half guard.
Trancoso trying to control from half guard but Nelson is working away. Trancoso drops an elbow to the side of Nelson's head. Nelson is looking to get back to full guard here but Trancoso has managed to pass to side control instead. Nelson is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trancoso lands a heavy elbow. Trancoso with good strikes from the mount here! Nelson is in a horrible position here. Trancoso smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Trancoso tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Nelson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Trancoso tries to control but Nelson wriggling away. Trancoso fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Trancoso lands a heavy elbow. Nelson is desperately trying to improve his position but Trancoso has a good base and remains in mount. Trancoso with a couple of short strikes.
It looks like Roy Nelson has been cut. Trancoso breaks from Nelson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Oooooh, big shot lands for Trancoso! Nelson is hurt baaadly! Trancoso is firing away with more strikes - Nelson is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
