The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aroman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alves to the mat! Alves manages to get full guard. Aroman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Aroman advances position into side control! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Aroman landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Aroman trying to control the position but Alves is working away. Alves is trying to get back to half guard.
