Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gus Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Miller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to X Gonna Give It To Ya. Payne has chosen Can't be touched as his entrance music. Gus Miller has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Payne misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Miller has taken the fight to the clinch.
Miller tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Payne smiles and moves away.
Payne lands a front kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Payne. That's going to slow Miller down. Payne fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Payne as Miller shoots in. Miller with a poor takedown and Payne counters with a nice low kick that buckles Miller's knee momentarily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gus Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miller moves into the clinch successfully.
Payne pulls guard successfully.
Payne seems keen to control Miller's posture. Payne trying to keep a closed guard but Miller is proving a slippery customer.
Miller prevents Payne from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Payne swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Payne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Payne throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Miller throws a big right hand that misses. Miller stands up over Payne, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Payne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Miller's guard. Miller being controlled here, momentarily. Payne loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miller wants to sweep here but Payne controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Miller is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Miller is breathing heavily. Payne trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller keeping full guard, as Payne tries to pass. Payne advances position into side control! Miller is looking to reverse the position. Payne lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is not content to let Payne control the position. Miller is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Miller wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Miller tries to bench press Payne off him but Payne keeps the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Payne moves into full mount! Miller is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Payne prevents Miller from getting the reversal. Miller manages to regain half guard. Good work. Miller is pressing down on Payne's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Miller throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Payne manages to get himself to full guard.
Miller gets to his feet - Payne follows without any prompting. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jason Payne will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Miller throws a series of punches but Payne moves out of range. Miller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Payne circles away. Payne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Miller tries to clinch up but Payne circles away and keeps his distance. Miller throws a combination that misses and Payne counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Miller scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Payne moves away. Payne rushes Miller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Miller is trying to break free. Miller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Payne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Miller breaks from the clinch.
Miller moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Miller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Payne sees it coming and avoids it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Miller throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Miller tries to clinch there but Payne circles away.

Gus Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Payne closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Gus Miller has been cut. Payne buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Miller uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Miller tries to clinch but Payne moves out of range. Miller tries to land a front kick but Payne steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Payne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Payne controlling from the full mount. Miller regains half guard. Miller makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Miller.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy. Payne postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Payne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Miller is looking to stand back up but Payne counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Miller. Payne has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Payne fails in his attempt to clinch. A low kick from Miller misses and Payne counters with a single leg into guard. Miller didn't expect that. Miller has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Payne is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Miller. Jason Payne has got the better of the ground game so far. Miller tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Payne wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Payne passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Miller! BOOM! Payne connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Miller tries to lock up and control but Payne gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Payne tries to control but Miller wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Payne is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Payne looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Miller flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Payne looking to control but Miller is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Payne is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Miller is surviving well by controlling Payne's body position as best he can. Payne lands a big shot there that rocks Miller but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Payne connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Payne putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Miller tries to hold on but Payne pushes him away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Miller working to try and regain half guard.
Payne lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Jason Payne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Gus Miller's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Payne pushes Miller up against the cage in a clinch. Miller has had enough of the clinch but Payne keeps him there for the moment. Payne tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miller just stands there and leans against the cage. Miller is trying to break the clinch but Payne has him pressed against the cage. Gus Miller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A head kick misses from Miller. Miller tries to clinch and Payne counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Miller! Miller slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Payne trying to mount his opponent but Miller defends it. Payne is working for a kimura but Miller is defending it quite comfortably.
Payne throwing shots but Miller is blocking nicely. Payne seems to be looking for submissions.
Payne seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Miller actively working from the bottom here. Payne wants to advance to full mount but Miller doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller looking for a sweep. Not yet Miller, not yet. Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Payne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Payne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Payne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Payne winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
