Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sid Vicious! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Frost! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Frost misses the target. Frost shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Vicious tries to hold on but Frost pushes him away. Frost trying to control but Vicious is having none of it. Vicious holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Frost tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Frost is looking to stand but Frost has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Frost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vicious. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vicious is looking to get to half guard. Vicious holds on for dear life, controlling Frost's posture momentarily. Vicious wants to hold on but Frost pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vicious keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Frost wants to get back to his feet but Vicious is holding on tight.
Frost looking to control but Vicious is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Frost looking to land elbow strikes but Vicious uses the position to regain half guard. Vicious avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Frost.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Vicious scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Frost misses with a combination
and Vicious counters with a left and a right that stings Frost. Frost has managed to clinch.
Frost misses with some punches.
Vicious gets underhooks to prevent Frost's takedown attempt.
Frost looks gassed! A quick uppercut on the inside from Frost. Frost tries to circle away but Vicious has him pinned against the cage. Frost looking to throw knees to the head but Vicious is blocking nicely.
Frost is trying to break the clinch but Vicious is controlling him. Vicious tries to stall but Frost uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Frost keeps control of Vicious as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Frost has Vicious pressed against the cage.
Vicious jumps guard but Frost stands there with Vicious around his waist. Vicious gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Vicious blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vicious can't find room to land a body shot as Frost controls the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost keeps control of Vicious as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Frost should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Nice body punch from Frost - that landed with a thud.
Frost lands with a short head shot on the inside. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Vicious tries for a takedown but Frost manages to get underhooks.
The referee calls for Frost to work.
Vicious fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sid Vicious. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Frost tries a body shot but Vicious blocks it.
Vicious jumps into guard, dragging Frost to the mat.
Frost is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Vicious has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Frost is looking to defend but Vicious has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Frost! Vicious pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Frost taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sid Vicious!
