Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victory Death (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edson de Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Souza is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No Love. Edson de Souza has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Souza misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
de Souza is looking to slow Death down with leg kicks.
Death dives in and grabs de Souza's left leg, looking for a takedown. de Souza pushes down on Death's head and hops out.
de Souza fakes the leg kick and cracks Death in the body.
Death fails with a takedown attempt.
de Souza stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and de Souza wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victory Death. That's going to take a lot out of him.
de Souza closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
de Souza misses with an elbow strike.
Death can't get the takedown.
Death wants a takedown but no success here.
Death changes levels and goes for a takedown here. de Souza fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Death shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Death showed some decent athleticism there.
de Souza is looking to improve his position.

de Souza keeps control of the position for the meantime.
de Souza trying to hold on to Death's head to control him but Death postures up.
de Souza might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Death kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Death looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Death will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
de Souza is holding on to half guard well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Death wants to work for an arm triangle but de Souza is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Death has a takedown stuffed.
de Souza connects with a high kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Death crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from de Souza - the referee stops the clock and Death gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says de Souza. Death manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

de Souza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
de Souza scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
de Souza lands with a thumping leg kick.
Death is breathing heavily.
de Souza tries to clinch but Death moves out of range.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Death crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from de Souza - the referee stops the clock and Death gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says de Souza. Death manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Death sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Death steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from de Souza. That one must have hurt.
de Souza lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Death takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
de Souza lands a head kick. Death smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Death is rocked!
de Souza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck for Death with that takedown attempt.
Death on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by de Souza. de Souza obviously looking to wear him down.
A solid body kick from de Souza.

Death has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by de Souza.
de Souza sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Death to the ground! de Souza dives into full mount looking to finish!
Oh Death is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Victory Death has been cut.
Death is squirming around, avoiding de Souza's attempts to control the action.
de Souza quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for de Souza but it's paid off an Death is forced to tap! Nice work by de Souza.
