Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marijn Overeem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin shoots in but no luck this time.
Overeem is looking to land body kicks.
Carwin tries to clinch but Overeem is having none of it.
Carwin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Overeem.
Carwin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Overeem's waist but Overeem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carwin off to one side.
Overeem gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Carwin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Carwin throws a strike but Overeem rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Carwin controls Overeem momentarily but Overeem frees himself.
Overeem in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Overeem postures up in Carwin's guard and throws a big left but Carwin blocks it.
Carwin is working an open guard so Overeem takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Carwin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Overeem napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Overeem wants to control but Carwin postures up.
Carwin lands an elbow.
Carwin is working Overeem over with some ground and pound from side control.
Overeem wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Overeem tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carwin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Overeem is working to avoid the ground and pound but Carwin connects with a decent elbow.
It looks like Marijn Overeem has been cut.
The strikes coming from Carwin are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
