PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyrylo Davydenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davydenko shoots in for a takedown but Rogers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rogers looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Davydenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Davydenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rogers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rogers can do anything to dispel that myth.

Davydenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davydenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Davydenko, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
