The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moreno Cuenca motions for Castle to come forward. Moreno Cuenca throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Castle looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Castle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moreno Cuenca swivels and escapes. Castle shoots in but Moreno Cuenca avoids the takedown attempt easily. Moreno Cuenca scores with a takedown into Castle's guard. Castle being controlled here, momentarily. Moreno Cuenca has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Castle wants to stand and escape but Moreno Cuenca is having none of it. Castle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Moreno Cuenca instigates a clinch. Castle takes a knee to the side of the body. Juan Jose Moreno Cuenca is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Moreno Cuenca closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Moreno Cuenca jumps guard and drags Castle to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Moreno Cuenca has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moreno Cuenca pulls Castle in close to prevent any damage. Castle stopping the sweep attempt from Moreno Cuenca. Moreno Cuenca keeping moving, preventing Castle from controlling successfully. Moreno Cuenca pushes Castle off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Moreno Cuenca scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Moreno Cuenca rushes Castle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Moreno Cuenca is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Castle can't fight it off and eventually Moreno Cuenca manages to take the fight to the floor. Castle looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Moreno Cuenca is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moreno Cuenca is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Moreno Cuenca controlling from the top position. Moreno Cuenca lands a couple of digs.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Moreno Cuenca is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Castle wants to sweep here but Moreno Cuenca controlling him for the moment. Moreno Cuenca scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Moreno Cuenca working some strikes from top position. Moreno Cuenca slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Moreno Cuenca passes easily into side control. Nice work.
