Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Walford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Zoran Pavicevic! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walford has a takedown stuffed. Walford takes a kick to the side of the head. Pavicevic has closed the distance and engaged Walford in a clinch.
Walford tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Pavicevic misses with a knee to the head. Pavicevic lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Walford fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Walford. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walford fails to pull guard.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Pavicevic. Walford tries to pull guard but Pavicevic won't allow it.
Pavicevic throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Walfords head. Walford fails to pull guard.
Pavicevic makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pavicevic softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Pavicevic lands with a short head shot on the inside. Pavicevic tries to land a knee to the head but Walford blocks with his arms.
Walford tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pavicevic just stands there and leans against the cage. Pavicevic scores with a shot to the side of Walford's head. Walford is breathing heavily. Walford jumps guard but Pavicevic stands there with Walford around his waist. Walford gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Pavicevic as the two fighters clinch.
Walford's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Pavicevic lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Pavicevic lands a shoulder strike. Pavicevic lands a shoulder strike. Pavicevic drops Walford onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Walford is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Walford is rocked! Walford fails to pull guard.
Oh Walford is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Pavicevic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pavicevic dips a shoulder and cracks Walford with a mighty uppercut! Walford falls back against the cage and Pavicevic unloads with a barrage of strikes! Walford is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pavicevic screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
