Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luka Basara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basara comes to the cage accompanied by Eminem feat. Rihanna-I love the way u lie. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Luka Basara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson blocks a low kick nicely.
Basara looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Ferguson rushes Basara and presses him up against the cage.
Ferguson tries to score a body lock takedown but Basara shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Ferguson breaks the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferguson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ferguson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Basara swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Basara throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ferguson.

Ferguson lands a big head kick that sends Basara tumbling to the mat! Ferguson takes a step backwards and waves Basara back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Luka Basara has been cut.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Ferguson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Basara's half guard.
Basara knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferguson on the ground.
Basara tries to kick Ferguson off but Ferguson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Ferguson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Basara is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Ferguson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Basara manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Ferguson throws a strike aimed at the side of Basara's head but Basara avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stephen Ferguson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Ferguson feints and as Basara raises his hands in defense, Ferguson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ferguson gets to his feet - Basara follows without any prompting.

Ferguson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Stephen Ferguson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ferguson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Basara looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ferguson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Basara's legs.
Basara is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ferguson connects with a decent elbow.

Ferguson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Basara knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ferguson just content to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ferguson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Ferguson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Basara is trying to escape the position but Ferguson is controlling the position.

Ferguson decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Luka Basara has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ferguson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ferguson darts in and clinches Basara up against the cage.

Ferguson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Basara's guard.
Stephen Ferguson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ferguson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Stephen Ferguson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ferguson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
