Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liam Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DK Oakston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oakston has chosen Beastie Boys - High Plains Drifter as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oakston throws a hook to the side of Brady's head but Brady sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A chopping leg kick lands by Oakston.
Some wild striking there from Oakston.
Oakston closes the distance and clinches up with Brady, looking for a takedown. Oakston pushes Brady against the cage but Brady circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Brady shoots in and bounces Oakston off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Brady trying to control the position from guard on top but Oakston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oakston avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Oakston leaves Brady with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Liam Brady will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Brady shoots in but Oakston avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brady stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brady wants it to stay on the feet.

DK Oakston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oakston will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brady tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oakston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brady somewhat.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brady holds on and takes a little breather.
Oakston is working Brady over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Oakston looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Brady with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
