Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Everth Cabaret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shelton Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Everth Cabaret! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shelton Scott! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabaret shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cabaret tries to pass the half guard into mount. Scott knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Cabaret performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cabaret's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Scott looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cabaret scoring with strikes to the body and head. Scott is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cabaret scores with a couple of nice shots. Scott wants to control but Cabaret is keeping busy and won't allow it. Scott is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Scott pushes Cabaret off looking to stand but Cabaret dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cabaret is working away from the top position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cabaret walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Scott checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Scott is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Scott is looking to clinch. Scott stuffs the takedown. Cabaret drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Cabaret with a flurry of punches that miss. Cabaret is working Scott over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Cabaret pushes down on Scott's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cabaret controlling the action here. Cabaret working the head and body with strikes. Cabaret lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabaret thows a huge punch but Scott dodges it nicely.
Cabaret prevents Scott from improving his position. Cabaret trying to control the pace. Scott is trying to get back to full guard. Cabaret is taking a breather. Scott says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Scott has hold of Cabaret's hands but Cabaret slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Cabaret has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Scott is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cabaret is figuring out what he wants to do next. Cabaret prevents Scott from standing back up.
Cabaret looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabaret scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Scott pushes Cabaret off looking to stand but Cabaret dives back in and keeps control.

Cabaret working over Scott with some ground and pound. Scott looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cabaret in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabaret prevents Scott from improving his position. Scott is trying to control but can't.
Cabaret looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Scott really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabaret. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Everth Cabaret just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Scott moves in looking to clinch but Cabaret pushes him off. Shelton Scott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cabaret shoots in for a takedown but Scott shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cabaret shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Scott is trying to defend but Cabaret finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Scott wants to get back to full guard. Cabaret slips a nice elbow through Scott's hands, connecting with Scott's forehead. Cabaret works his way into full mount! Scott is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Cabaret scores with a couple of good head shots there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everth Cabaret dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Scott tries to clinch there but Cabaret circles away.
Scott throws a head kick but Cabaret moves out of range.
Scott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cabaret closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cabaret frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. BOOM! Cabaret connects with a massive shot to the dome!
A nice elbow there by Cabaret. Cabaret sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cabaret raining down shots from the mount! Cabaret unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Scott wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Cabaret celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Everth Cabaret!
