0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dave Jackson! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blinov looks for a takedown but Jackson sprawls well. Blinov closes the distance and clinches. Blinov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jackson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but Blinov blocks with his arms.

That's one minute gone in the round. Blinov rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Blinov stalling against the cage.
Jackson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Blinov blocks it with crossed arms. Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but Blinov blocks with his arms.
Jackson looks gassed! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Blinov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Blinov manages to break the clinch.
Blinov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blinov lands in his opponent's guard. Blinov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blinov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Blinov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blinov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blinov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Blinov controlling from the top position. Jackson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jackson is working an open guard so Blinov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blinov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jackson tries to bench press Blinov off him but Blinov keeps the position. Jackson looks to move to half guard but instead Blinov has passed into mount! Damn! Blinov is standing up, even though he is in mount. Blinov fails to land the takedown. Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Blinov shoots in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blinov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blinov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Jackson looking for a triangle here. Blinov is fighting it but it looks tight! Jackson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Blinov is tapping out - this one is all over!
