Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Rotmensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeremy Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dane Rotmensen! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rotmensen tries to improve position but can't. Jones stands up. Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rotmensen sprawls well. Rotmensen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Rotmensen slips under a jab from Jones. Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Rotmensen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Rotmensen backing up. Rotmensen nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rotmensen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones tries for a takedown but Rotmensen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jeremy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rotmensen misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rotmensen's guard now. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Rotmensen. Jones lands a couple of elbows. Rotmensen wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Jones throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rotmensen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rotmensen is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment. Jones wants to control from the top but Rotmensen keeps moving. Rotmensen wants to get back to his feet but Jones passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones escapes and gets back to his feet. Rotmensen has his takedown stuffed and Jones counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jeremy Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dane Rotmensen. Rotmensen looking for a sweep. Not yet Rotmensen, not yet. Rotmensen working a defensive guard here.
Jones wants to control from the top but Rotmensen keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rotmensen, up you get! Jones misses with a takedown and Rotmensen counters with a left to the body. Jones is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rotmensen pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Rotmensen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Rotmensen sprawls well. Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rotmensen misses with a takedown attempt and Jones decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rotmensen's guard. Rotmensen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeremy Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rotmensen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rotmensen is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it. Rotmensen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rotmensen can do anything to dispel that myth. Rotmensen throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Rotmensen tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jones working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looks up at the clock and then as Rotmensen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jones smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Rotmensen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones misses with a straight right. Rotmensen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rotmensen cracks a nice hook into Jones's ribs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jones has Rotmensen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rotmensen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Nice body punch from Rotmensen - that landed with a thud.
Jones is trying to break free. Rotmensen jumps into guard, dragging Jones to the mat.
Rotmensen seems keen to control Jones's posture. Jones postures up in Rotmensen's guard and throws a big left but Rotmensen blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rotmensen controlling the position. Rotmensen wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Rotmensen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Rotmensen working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rotmensen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rotmensen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Rotmensen works his foot free and advances to mount. Rotmensen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rotmensen is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Rotmensen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Rotmensen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rotmensen sprawls well. Rotmensen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Rotmensen which made him look bad. Rotmensen closes the distance and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dane Rotmensen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Rotmensen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nice sprawl there from Rotmensen as Jones shoots in. Rotmensen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A low kick from Jones misses and Rotmensen counters with a series of strikes. Jones will be more careful next time no doubt. Jones fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rotmensen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rotmensen stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Rotmensen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rotmensen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rotmensen counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Rotmensen to acknowledge the strikes. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rotmensen lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Jones can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Rotmensen and Jones drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Rotmensen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dane Rotmensen!
