Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Haggerty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Velazquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Haggerty! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haggerty gets a takedown into half guard. Velazquez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Haggerty seems to be working for a kimura but Velazquez defends the submission attempt. Velazquez trying to control but Haggerty postures up.
Velazquez regains full guard. Nicely done. Velazquez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Haggerty has picked Velazquez up and slammed him! Velazquez can't keep hold of the triangle and Haggerty manages to pass to side control! Velazquez sneaks back into half guard. Velazquez trying to control but Haggerty postures up.

Haggerty drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haggerty jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Haggerty trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Velazquez manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Haggerty seems keen to control Velazquez's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Haggerty being controlled here, momentarily. Haggerty keeping moving, preventing Velazquez from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Haggerty can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Velazquez controls the pace. Velazquez advances to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haggerty is controlling Velazquez's trapped leg to prevent Velazquez from advancing to side control. Velazquez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Haggerty sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Velazquez trying to control from half guard but Haggerty is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Velazquez will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Velazquez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haggerty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Velazquez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Haggerty is one step ahead there. Velazquez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Haggerty stacks Velazquez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Haggerty! Velazquez is trying to improve his position. Haggerty is breathing heavily.

Velazquez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Haggerty is looking to stall here but Velazquez recovers full guard. Haggerty throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Haggerty got a little sloppy there for a moment and Velazquez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Haggerty has managed to get both his arms back between Velazquez's legs - danger averted. Velazquez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Velazquez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Haggerty is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Velazquez is looking to sinch up a triangle. Haggerty throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Velazquez's body to avoid the submission. Velazquez has instead reached around Haggerty's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Velazquez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
