The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahric will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones Sanders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kahric tries to clinch but Sanders is having none of it.
Sanders comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kahric gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Samir Kahric has been cut.

Sanders throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanders postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kahric to stand up.
Sanders moves in looking to clinch but Kahric pushes him off.
Sanders rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kahric moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sanders misses the jab.
Sanders moves out of range of the body kick.

and Kahric decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sanders's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kahric would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kahric gets to his feet - Sanders follows without any prompting.
