1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hank Doherty! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ishii is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Doherty's half guard. Ishii missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Ishii is working for a kimura but Doherty is defending it quite comfortably.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ishii wants to finish this one by submission but Doherty is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ishii. Doherty tries to hold on but Ishii pushes him away.

Ishii gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Doherty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doherty wants it to stay on the feet. Doherty has closed the distance and engaged Ishii in a clinch.
