Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Top Dawg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ulf Gurnisson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurnisson closes the distance and clinches.
Dawg can't break the clinch.
Gurnisson jumps guard.
Gurnisson wants to hit a switch here but Dawg passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gurnisson there!
Dawg prevents Gurnisson from getting the reversal.
Dawg unloads with some shots from mount but Gurnisson bucks and avoids them well.
Dawg is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gurnisson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gurnisson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Dawg is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gurnisson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dawg.
Dawg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gurnisson is looking to clinch.
Dawg throws a one two combo.
It looks like Ulf Gurnisson has been cut.
Gurnisson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dawg counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Gurnisson to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Dawg!
